Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear; below neck, K. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; behind, transverse spear; in outer left field, herm to left; in inner left field, archaic xoanon; in exergue, monogram. Müller 294 var. (crescent not herm). Thompson 220 var. (crescent not herm). Beautifully toned and of exceptionally fine style, a splendid piece. Very light marks, otherwise, extremely fine.

The unusual addition of a K below the head of Alexander probably is the signature of an artist who was justly proud of his work.
